Now, Serverspace users can create a vStack server on the Oracle Linux 8.5 with RHCK CPU for the platform x86_64.
The new OS version includes the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK) installation image version 6.3, based on the Linux 5.4 core and optimized for Oracle software and hardware. UEK is installed by default and provides more updates than other commercial Linux cores.
Existing applications are compatible with the userspace of the OS. Applications certified in previous RHEL 8 or Oracle Linux 8 releases won’t require recertification in the current edition.
The new version includes software updates, new security patches, and some system changes. Refer to the Oracle Linux blog and release note to learn more about improvements in Oracle Linux 8.5.
