How to create Routed network

Control panel Networks

This guideline describes how to create and configure a routed network in the control panel.

What is routed network?

A routed network is a private network that is already connected to a router with a public interface. This type of network allows all virtual servers to access the Internet via a router and receive inbound connections using NAT.

The cost of the network is composed of 1 external router IP address and the width of the communication channel.

How to create a routed network?

To create a network, open a pull-down menu on the left, select Networks and click the Add network button:

Select the type as Routed. Select the data center in which the network will be created. If necessary, specify the use of DHCP - in this case, the network settings will be obtained automatically. Next, use the slider to specify the required width of the communication channel.

Then enter the network address in CIDR format. The address you have entered must belong to one of the indicated ranges: 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.0, 100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.0, 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.0, 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.0.

In the last step, enter a name and click Create network:

To connect the server to the network, switch the Connect toggle switch to the active state and click Save. It is possible to connect only servers located in the data center in which this network is located. When connecting to the network, another network adapter will be added to your virtual server. This network adapter must be configured at the operating system level:

To configure a firewall for a routed network, go to the Firewall tab.

To configure VPN tunneling go to the VPN tab.

To create address translation rules go to the NAT tab.

To delete a network, in the Delete tab, confirm the removal and click the corresponding button. You can also remove a network from the list of networks by clicking on the cross.
