Managing Serverspace infrastructure with AI assistants

Serverspace has launched an MCP server for managing cloud infrastructure through AI assistants. Server operations can now be performed using simple text commands, without the need to work directly with the Public API.
Infrastructure management through MCP
MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects AI assistants to the Serverspace Public API. Users describe tasks in natural language, and the AI assistant performs the actions through the Serverspace Public API based on the permissions configured for the project.
- Manage with AI — Work with servers using text commands.
- Reduce manual work — Perform operations without having to write API requests yourself.
- Control access — Configure permissions separately for each project.
This update will help developers, DevOps engineers, and administrators automate everyday tasks.
New roles and flexible access management
Serverspace has also completely redesigned the Access tab in the settings of shared projects. Users can now create custom roles and configure their permissions.
Permissions can be configured across several categories:
-
- By service — vStack Cloud, VMware Cloud, DNS, CDN, VPN, LLM, and other services.
- By action — Viewing or modifying resources.
- By project function — Access to finances, project information, API, and SSH keys.

This update is particularly useful for teams where members of the same project require different access permissions.
Getting started
To manage your infrastructure through an AI assistant, connect it to the Serverspace MCP server and configure access to the required projects.
To configure permissions, open the Serverspace control panel and go to Project Settings → Access. Here, you can create a new role and configure its access permissions.
Both updates are already available in Serverspace. Connect AI assistants to manage your infrastructure and configure access permissions for your team members.
